Set to premiere on July 7, "Better Late than Single 2" is a makeover dating reality show that invites both empathy and unsolicited advice, chronicling the first dating attempts of lifelong singles who have zero experience but maximum expectations. Following Season 1, the show is expected to turn viewers into "National Cupids" once again as it awakens the dating cells of these singles, whose very clumsiness makes their journey all the more heart-fluttering.

Producer Kim No-eun, who directed the show, pointed to "relatable reality" as the biggest charm of this season, saying, "While the clumsy actions of the singles make you laugh, they also feel deeply relatable because they represent experiences everyone has had at least once." Producer Won Seung-jae also emphasized the program's unique identity, stating, "In Season 1, for the first time in a dating show, a phenomenon occurred where viewers rooted for every single participant. I believe this is what sets us apart and why so many people loved the show."

In Season 2, meticulously designed missions and "spark-inducing features" have been introduced to help the dating-challenged participants connect naturally. These new additions include the "New Arrivals" system at the "5-Minute Bookstore"—where participants can check real-time attraction—as well as the "Singles Post Office" for sending letters and gifts simultaneously, and the "Coupling Dinner," where two participants share a meal while wearing matching rings.

Producer Kim No-eun expressed confidence in the upgraded system, saying, "We learned from Season 1 that 'if nothing is there, nothing happens,' so we worked hard to make improvements. We focused on naturally sparking excitement without making it feel forced."

However, the way these features play out in ways completely unexpected by the production team will be a unique highlight of "Better Late than Single 2." Producer Won Seung-jae teased some behind-the-scenes moments, saying, "The charm of these lifelong singles is that they always defy expectations. I hope viewers enjoy watching them hoard gift coupons that can only be used in the Singles Village, or overthink and strategize like they are on 'The Devil's Plan' because they suspect a twist in a feature meant simply for expressing their feelings, and the misunderstandings that arise from that."

Another key highlight is the even stronger chemistry among the four "Cupids"—Seo In-guk, Kang Han-na, Lee Eun-ji, and Car, the garden—who are in charge of highly invested reactions. In particular, anticipation is high for a change in Kang Han-na, who usually maintains her composure. Producer Kim No-eun raised expectations for a major twist, revealing, "Kang Han-na, our 'Mother Teresa' who had never once lost her temper, actually got angry. On the other hand, Car, the garden promised to put a warm spin on things this time, but he failed within 30 minutes."

As a keyword that defines the show, Producer Kim No-eun chose "an old diary," explaining, "It makes you cringe when you look back at it, but it's so entertaining that you can't stop reading." Producer Won Seung-jae asked for warm support, adding, "Although the people, the structure, and the features have changed, the fact that this is a 'story of lifelong singles' remains the same. They might still be clumsy and frustrating to watch, but the way it strangely heals you and makes you want to root for them will also remain the same."

Meanwhile, the spicier and sweeter "Better Late than Single 2" will be released on Netflix on July 7.
